The host of this San Antonio Airbnb wanted to make the entrance of the home a little more memorable, with “Welcome to San Antonio” and the city skyline as part of the design. I wanted the mural to feel inviting while still fitting in with the home, so I pulled inspiration from the yellow front door and grey interior and added my signature linework throughout. I used the existing border along the walkway to bring in color and create the skyline, then added different symbols representing Texas inside the yellow border. The result was a fun, welcoming entrance that gives guests a little taste of San Antonio before they even walk through the door.
