LAURAE X LAUREN

Art name, Laurae. Real name, Lauren. I am from San Antonio, Texas, and have been creating since childhood. I attended the Art Institute of San Antonio to study Photography and here I am today using the skills I learned to provide high-quality content and art prints. Detail is significant to me and you will see this throughout my work.

I create abstract art that mostly stays in the color scheme of black, white, and gold. Occasionally you might see me venture from abstract line work to textured art and something more modern or contemporary, even a pop of color.

My work is inspired by all things around me, especially my feelings and intuition, I am the type of person who overthinks and can fixate on one thing way too long and art allows me to calm my mind and find a place of peace. I do enjoy the silence in my mind in those moments but I also see the value in questioning everything around me and even though my mind is calmer when creating I hope that it provokes questions within.

I began creating professionally in 2019 and since then, I have grown more with the community and been able to showcase my work in various places. One I am most proud of was my first-ever solo art show at The Carver Community Cultural Center, it was a dream come true. I’ve also showcased at, Brushworks Studios & Gallery, The Warehouse Diner, & Blue Star Arts Complex. And in between art showcases, I will attend art pop-ups and collaborate with businesses for art events in the community.

I truly love what I do and I hope that you choose to spend your life doing what you love. My goals in art are to inspire, create, and become full-time.
